This was a great place to grab lunch. I got the burger with fried onions and BBQ sauce, and it was plenty filling on its own. No sides needed. Onions were perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of batter. Our server was also super personable and helpful answering questions. Can't wait to come back.
Good place to eat. Prices are reasonable and food always very good. Waiters very prompt no waiting.
Bluegill dinner was excellent! Breading on the fish was crisp and flavorful. Definitely stopping here again soon!!

Hash brown skillet with crispy Browns, homemade fluffy biscuits that can't be missed. This is a hidden gem in Ava Illinois, known in the area for homemade pies and cheesecakes. Don't be fooled by the simple small pole barn exterior. This is the real deal. The staff was warm and friendly as another bonus.we will be back!
Really enjoyed the take out meal I had here. Mainly locals and it's family ran. Very affordable with a solid size diner menu to please the whole family. From the outside it might look a little runned down but they recently remotely inside and it's bright, homey and comfortable. Don't forget to save room for the homemade desserts/pies.
Had a special of the day board and got the pulled pork sandwich, slaw and beans, all of which was very good. Service was fast and with a smile. The place did not seem real inviting from the outside and seating was kind of unusual. Would go back if the opportunity arises.
